The University of Toledo Exchanged UT for OSU

Ohio has so many Ohio State fans scattered across it that when the University of Toledo played them earlier this season in football UT felt the need make sure enough Blue was in the stands to offset all the Scarlet. So what the university did was offer an exchange to fans (really just students) of UT that included a free UT t-shirt when they brought in an Ohio State t-shirt. They limited the “cash for clunkers” type exchange to only one hour so as to not run out of t-shirts.

The administration hoped the students would wear the shirts to the game and around campus instead of wearing all the Scarlet and Gray that is normally seen on the UT campus. The exchange was a success but not the game itself. The Rockets lost to the Buckeyes 38-0 in front of a sold out Cleveland Browns stadium on September 19th.
